Returning to the home of our childhoods is a deeply affective experience brought about through long-held material objects and household fittings that trigger memories and sensorial responses.

On a recent visit home, I photographed some of these affective material objects to bring attention to their ubiquity as well as their significance. The collection of still-life studies is an archive of family life past and present.
